The State Task Force Committee on Covid-19 has distributed materials and other consumables to the 44 Local Government Areas Rapid Response Team (RRT) in its effort to curtail the spread of the pandemic from the grassroot.
Presenting the materials, the state Coordinator Technical Task force on Covid-19, Dr. Tijjani Hussain disclosed that, the gesture was aimed at accessing the teeming populace from the grassroot by taking their sample free of charge with a view to curtaining the spread of the pandemic.
The Information officer, Primary Health care Management Board, Maikudi Muhammad Marafa in a statement said Dr. Tijjani Hussain called on the Health personal shouldered with the task to redouble their efforts in the discharge of their assignment in order to achieve the desired objectives.
Earlier, the Deputy Coordinator on Covid-19 State Response Team, Dr. Sabitu Y. Shanono reiterated the committee’s commitment in monitoring the conduct of the exercise and therefore urged the personal to be committed and just in the discharge of their assignment diligently.
Responding on behalf of the Health personal, the Primary Health care Management Board Zonal Director, Bichi Zone, Alhaji Idris Shehu commended the State Technical Task Force on Covid-19 for the providing the materials for the fight against the pandemic at the grassroots and assured of its judicious use.
