Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa State has promised to ensure completion and commissioning of Kazaure Specialist Hospital in the state by first quarter of 2021.
The Governor made the pledge when he visited the project site along with Emir of Kazaure Dr Najib Adamu to assess the progress of the work.
He expressed appreciation of the quality of work and progress made by the contractor, adding that, the government will keep its promise on timely payment to the contractor.
Badaru noted that, presently the state government is not owing the contractor single kobo, and upon submiting any request for payment the government will not be hesitant to make the payment.
He noted that, the state government embarked on upgrading and construction of tertiary health facilities to provide accessible and affordable tertiary healthcare service to the people of the state.
Similarly, the Governor inspected Kazaure water treatment plant that has the capacity of 10 million lifter par day and its two million gallons reservoir.
He said, the project executed by Federal Government will provide lasting solution to the water scarcity militates the ancient city of Kazaure over decades.
Gov Badaru promised to speedy action for the completion of reticulation of water pipeline across the city and its environs for effective supply of the water for public consumption.
