The Vice Chancellor Kano University of Science and Technology Wudil, Professor Shehu Alhaji Musa has expressed gratitude to the Visitor to the University and Kano State Governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for availing the University opportunity to utilize Dangote Ultra-Modern Skill Acquisition Centre.
A statement signed by Sa’idu Abdullahi Nayaya, Deputy Registrar, Information & Public Relation Unit said during an inspection visit to the facility on Friday, Professor Musa expressed the University’s readiness in utilizing the Centre for the benefit of the teeming youths of Kano state and beyond.
Prof Musa further expressed the immediate readiness of the University to relocate its Hospitality and tourism Institute to the Centre, adding that the University has already come up with arrangements for immediate relocation.
The Vice Chancellor noted with delight the availability of infrastructure including building and workshops and equipment that can be put to use by different categories of students of the University especially those in the areas of Technical and Vocational education and other trades, the statement added.
According to the statement, Prof Musa reiterated the willingness of the University to support Kano state government in the area of youths training and development through skill acquisition.
Professor Musa expressed appreciation of the University on behalf of the Chancellor Dr. Aliko Dangote, the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Governing Council A.B. Mahmoud SAN, members of the Governing Council, Management, Senate and staff for understanding and support of the Visitor to the University Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for availing the opportunity to utilize the Centre for University’s growth and development.
Prof. Musa was accompanied on the visit by Principal officers, some directors and other staff of the University.
