Kebbi State Government says its policy to train Fulani women on modern process of dairy production is set to commence; similar priority has been placed on modern livestock production.
Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu affirmed this when he made a stop-over along Gulumbe – Ambursa road where he interacted with Fulani women hawking milk.
The Governor told the women that his administration is committed to modernizing agriculture and livestock production in the state. He accentuated that it can be achieved through training of Fulani women and nomads alongside provision of modern farm implements.
Bagudu therefore assured that animal feeds would be made available to livestock owners for optimum benefit, he advised Fulanis to enroll their children into schools to enable them acquire both religious and western education.
He gave financial support to the Fulani women to enhance their capital for economic empowerment and they in exchange expressed gratitude to the Governor for his kind gesture and acknowledged his commitment towards improving the socio-economic wellbeing of the nomads.
