The member Representing Ajingi, Gaya and Albasu in the House of Representatives Hon Abdullahi Mahmud Gaya said the Ajaokuta Kaduna Kano (AKK) Gas Pipeline Project is the right step toward fast track reindustrialization process for the states and country with modern touch.
The member who is the Chairman House of Representative Committee on Petroleum Resources (Downstream) made this known in a media chart with newsman.
According to him with AKK project Kano would regain its lost glory of being the second industrialized state in the country and also being the gate way for businesses in West African subregion.
He further explained that the project will definitely steer the way for the development of Gas Base Industries in the state and at same time pave way for power base independent power plants whereas the industries in Abuja Ajaokuta, Kano and Kaduna need electricity to make them work to full capacity.
Commenting on the decades pipelines vandalization across the country, he said the act of vandalization of NNPC facilities led the country to lost substantial monies, but we had many interactive seasons with the management of national oil company and other stakeholders in the sectors on how to stop this ugly trend and we advised them to engage the services of the people of the communities which the pipelines past through, this approach will definitely steer some unemployed youths from being part of the act.
